I . Achievements of the units during January 2013 to March 2014.
a. Residential Quarters completed:
1972 Nos. of Residential Quarters for Police Personnel have been completed at a cost of Rs. 13783.24 Lakhs.
b. Police Stations Completed
90 Nos of Police station buildings have been completed at a cost of Rs. 3677.79 lakhs
c. Police buildings Completed
24 Nos of Police buildings have been completed at a cost of Rs. 5826.72 lakhs
II. New initiatives:
The Government have accorded approval for 1420 units at a cost of Rs. 37098.74 lakhs for the Construction of Quarters / Police stations and other buildings for the Police personnel’s during the year of 2013-14.
III. Proposed Plan of action for 2014-15:
4800 Quarters during 2013 -14
The estimate proposal for the construction of 4800 quarters during the year of 2014 -15 for a value of Rs. 738.61 crores has been sent to the DGP for getting approval from the Government. The G.O. is awaited.
IV. Other important cases
a) Construction of “Own Your House” Scheme
The Government have issued orders vide G.O Ms. No. 345 Home (Pol X) Department dtd. 11.05.2012 to construct 36000 houses for Police Personnel under “Own Your House Scheme”. As a pilot project the construction of 2673 houses at Melakottaiyur in Kancheepuram District has been taken up and the work is in progress and will be completed by December 2014.
The land identified at Idayapatty in Madurai District has been taken in possession. Now preparation of plan, layout and estimate under progress.
Lands are identified at Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Kanniyakumari, Krishnagiri, Ramnad, Sivagangai, Thanjavur, Theni, Thoothukudi, Trichy, Tiruppur and Vellore. Feasibility and transfer of land are in progress.
For other districts action is being taken to identify the required land. |
